Our service begins with authentic worship with our praise team followed by announcements and prayer. Before the teaching time begins, Lifeline's "half-time" gives everyone a chance to grab some Panera Bread treats and refreshments. It's also a great time to socialize for a few minutes or just visit the bathroom.
Our service starts around 10:30 AM and usually ends around 11:45 AM, although special events or exciting announcements sometimes extend the service time to noon. Lifeline is a judgment-free zone, so even if you're running behind schedule, please come and join us for worship!
Throughout the year, we also take time in some of our services to celebrate communion and we also celebrate new life and reaffirmation in Christ with some amazing baptism services as well.
Whether you prefer the term "preaching" or "teaching," most often Lifeline's messages are given by Lead Pastor Rob Holland. Pastor Jim Berger leads discipleship classes and occasionally gives the message on Sundays.
We sometimes invite individuals from within the congregation or outside it to share their testimonies of their journey and relationship with the Lord.
Come as you are! Most people attending our services wear casual attire (t-shirts, pants or shorts, athletic shoes or sandals). Some wear more business-casual attire (polo or button-down shirts, khakis, dresses).
Nursery: for children ages birth to 3 years old. These infants and toddlers are cared for in a separate room, with a pager system for parents to be notified quickly if any issue were to arise.
Children's ministry: for children ages 4 years old through 5th Grade. Children are dismissed from the Sunday service after the worship music. During the school year, the children's teaching includes a short lesson about God, Jesus, or other Bible teaching, a snack, and usually a craft or creativity time. In the summertime, the kids go out to play on the playground and enjoy the Michigan summer weather!
We have a check-in table right outside of our sanctuary where you can check in your children and will receive both parent and child name tags.
All volunteers in these ministries are background-checked before they are allowed to serve in a ministry volunteer capacity.
If you are not comfortable with your children going into the nursery or children's ministry, you are welcome to keep them with you in service. There are crayons and coloring books on a table in the back of the sanctuary if you need a distraction. The occasional cry of an infant in our midst means the kingdom of God is growing!
